A small family farm, rooted in care.
Pasture-raised food, honest practices, and a belief that tending land and community matters.
About the Farm
Goldfinch Farm is a small, family-run farm in Saline, Michigan, founded by Megan and Zach Goldenberg. We raise animals on pasture, care deeply about soil and ecosystems, and believe food tastes better when its made with care.
We’re first-generation, veteran farmers figuring this out with curiosity, care, and a lot of muddy boots.

Our hens are living their best, most chaotic lives — roaming the yard, exploring the woods, flipping compost piles, and grazing on greens, bugs, and whatever the wind blows in. Supplemented with certified organic feed and never confined, they produce eggs that are a true reflection of their diverse, nutrient-rich diet.
Our flock is a colorful barnyard mix of Rhode Island Reds, ISA Browns, Leghorns, Australorps, Ameraucanas, Welsummers, and Marans. That means your carton will be filled with eggs of all colors, sizes, and personalities.
These are not your grocery store eggs.
🥚 Yolks are deeply golden-orange from pasture foraging
🥚 Richer flavor and creamier texture
🥚 Higher in Omega-3s, Vitamins A, D, and E
🥚 Naturally unwashed to preserve the protective bloom
They’re as fresh as it gets, and they taste like it. Store them on the counter if you're using them quickly (the bloom protects them), or refrigerate for longer keeping.
We pack by weight, not individual size—so your dozen may have a mix of eggs that average out to your chosen size. It’s the farm-fresh real deal!
🥚 Egg Size Guide by Dozen Weight (approximate)
Large 24–26.9 oz per dozen; 2–2.24 oz per egg
Medium 21–23.9 oz per dozen; 1.75–1.99 oz per egg
Small 18–20.9 oz per dozen; 1.5–1.74 oz per egg
Did you know? Composting takes time, resources, and energy, from processing organic material to enriching the soil that feeds our farm. If you love what we’re doing and want to keep programs like this thriving, we invite you to support our efforts. Consider this a “tip” or “donation” to our efforts to reduce waste, sequester carbon, and restore soil health.
